Myron Hillard
Myron has been Earl of the Silvershore since his older sister Branwen was de-legitimized in 1195. She had succeeded her father Brendon when he died in 1184, by his dying wish, and with the consent of their lord Rykos Argard. He had not agreed with his father's use of the older traditional laws in favor of the modern, and more universal style of favoring the male line first.
When his sister Brenwen declared for Guyan Soval and joined the Mandate of the Lords Assembled, he declared himself for his liege lord Rulenka Magna, who stripped Brenwen of her title and dignities and passed her mantles onto him, both as Earl of the Silvershore and as patriarch of House Hillard. He has remained her leal servant since.
Myron has served with little distinction since taking his title. His lands remain littered with bandits and rebel hideaways, even the vital trade corridors along the Amandine leading to Orendon. He has cited insufficient troops, and insufficient coin to pay said troops, as what men and wealth were not looted by Kurns in Soval's rebellion were taken by Brenwen when she left. Still, he is accused of cowardice and incompetence by his peers and his small folk. Rulenka Magna has remained distant from the issue, but notably has deployed the Fallen Star Mercenary Company, under her direct employ, to garrison the trade corridors passing through his land.
